Unit 8 How was your school trip?

  教学步骤:

  Step 1:

  Ask some students to talk about their classmates’ trip.

  Step 2:

  Listen to the tape for 2a and check the answers.

  Listen again and check the answers for 2b.

  Listen a third time sentence by sentence and ask students to read after the tape.

  Show the transcript.

  Step 3:

  Show some short films about trips. Ask them to guess where were they and what did they do.

  Step 4:

  Ask the students to read 3a by themselves and finish correcting the five statements.

  Explain some words and phrases.

  Step 5:

  Chain story: making up stories.

  Divide the whole class into several groups. Every group has about 5,6 members. Ask them do not talk while making up stories. Then give the first students of each group a piece of paper with the same sentence written on it. Then ask the other students each to add up a sentence to form a whole story. Then the last group members will do a report to the class. See which story is the most interesting one.

  Homework:

  Write a short passage about one trip and ask them to bring some photos taken during that trip.
