Teaching procedure:
Step 1 warm -up
Game: 听音做动作
教师与学生一起复习一些动词短语，然后教师说You are going to …,学生做动作。通过这个游戏，既提高了的学生的学习兴趣，又帮助学生复习了本单元涉及的be going to 结构，为接下来的学习做好准备。
Step 2 lead-in
教师先请学生说一说自己是怎样过生日的，然后问：“Amy 就要过生日了，让我们一起看一看她是怎莫庆祝生日的吧。”
Step 3 presentation and practice
1、听录音，看课文，整体感知课文,同时划出生词和不明白的地方。学生听完后教师讲授生词invitation。
2、让学生带着问题“What does Amy give Lingling ? How old is Amy going to be? ”听录音，小声跟读课文，找出答案。学生听完后，师生一起丛书中找出答案：It’s an invitation to my birthday party. I’m going to be 11. （板书并讲解，特别强调to的用法，举例the key to the door帮助学生理解）
3、让学生带着问题“What are they going to do? ”听录音，找出答案。学生听完后，教师提问该问题，学生从书中找出问题的答案，板书重点句What are we going to do? We are going to have lunch together. Are you going to have a birthday cake? Yes, I am.并进行讲解。
练习：
① 做学生用书活动2 Listen and say
先让学生听一遍录音，注意语音语调；然后听录音跟读一遍，模仿语音语调；之后让学生通过小组读、开火车读、做替换练习等方式练习这些重点句子。
② Game: 大声传话
把以上重点句子写在纸条上，每张纸条上写一个句子，让每列第一个同学抽取一张纸条并记住上面的句子，然后传给后边的同学，传得最快、最准的小组获胜，由教师给予奖励。

4、让学生带着问题“Can they play with Amy’s new toys? Why? ”听录音，找出答案。学生听完后，教师提问该问题，找出问题答案：No, they can’t. Then you’re going to help me tidy up! 教师讲解短语tidy up.
5、听录音，跟读课文，模仿语音语调
Step 4 consolidation
1、分角色朗读课文，找几组同学分角色朗读，教师注意纠正学生的发音错误

教师引导学生总结出本节课主要学习了哪些知识。
Step 6 homework
① Listen to the tape and repeat 听录音，跟读课文，使学生形成正确的语音语调
② Write the new words and key sentences
③ Do a survey 调查自己的爸爸，妈妈，爷爷，奶奶周末要干什莫，下节课交流。
